BIO
Silvia Herreros de Tejada Larrinaga (Los Angeles, Estados Unidos, 1975) has a PhD in Communication Sciences, a Master’s Degree in Comparative Literature, and a graduate degree in English Philology, as well as a diploma in Movie Scriptwriting. She teaches at Universidad de Nebrija and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, as well as at Escuela de Cine y del Audiovisual de la Comunidad de Madrid (ECAM).
She has specialized in the character of Peter Pan, to which she dedicated her doctoral thesis, the essay ‘Todos crecen menos Peter’ (2009) (They All Grow Except for Peter), and the novel ‘La mano izquierda de Peter Pan’ (2017).
PROJECT
Her project consists of writing ‘La otra isla,’ a novel on the ghosts that imprison human beings on the Internet: the obsession for happiness, eternal youth and ‘likes’ on the social media, as well as their connection with romanticism and Latin American magic realism which emerged in the 19th century.
