PROJECT
Her proposal has been called ‘exemplary and interesting’ by the assessment committee, for its novel and modern approach to waste management in smart cities.
González García analyzes the urban metabolism of a typical Spanish city (125,000 population equivalent) and develops a strategy that initially reduces the consumption of food and thus the generation of food waste at source. If this action is not possible, it will promote the reuse and recycling of food waste.
