Ricardo Capelino Carlos (Valencia, 1977, Swedish nationality) is a saxophone teacher and performer working around the world.
PROJECT
‘New technical resources and multiphonic sounds on the saxophone’ will carry out a research project that gives composers, performers, musicologists and educators new extended interpretative techniques for the different types of saxophones.
In the case of saxophones at the extremes of the tonal range (sopranino and bass), all the multiple sounds will be dealt with and extracted in a ground-breaking way, as no other study has been published yet in this field. The work, including the book and resulting audio recordings, will be supported by advice from the composer Alberto Posadas.
