BIO
Nuria Núñez Hierro (Cadiz, 1980) graduated in Music with a Piano major from Conservatorio Profesional de Córdoba and has a Master’s Degree in Composition from Berlin University of the Arts.
Her works have been performed in Spain, Germany, France, Russia, Mexico and Colombia by orchestras such as the RSO of Stuttgart, the Jenaer Philharmonie and Loh-Orchester Sondershausen in Germany, as well as the National Youth Orchestra of Spain and the Symphonic Orchestra of Seville.
PROJECT
Her project, ‘”La Isla,” a chamber opera for an audience of ten years and over’ aims to stimulate reflection on migration and exile and invite the audience of both adults and children to participate in culture and understand the world around them better.
The work will be one hour long and is based on the book of illustrations of the same name by Armin Greder and texts by Gloria Fuertes, Italo Calvino and the Tuareg poet Mahmoudan Hawad.
