Noemí Moncunill Martí (Barcelona, 1979) is a postdoctoral researcher at the Instituto Universitario de Análisis y Aplicaciones Textuales of Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and has been a Marie Curie researcher at the Paris-Sorbonne University and King’s College London.
She is a specialist in Paleohispanic inscriptions, Latin inscriptions, the critical edition of classical texts and digital humanities, and has published numerous articles in this area in international journals, and in which she is the author or co-author of five books.
PROJECT
Her project will examine the past to understand the history of writing in the present, which is greatly affected by the demands of the virtual environment. It will also study the appearance and development of the first written cultures on the Iberian Peninsula, taking the whole Mediterranean world as the general framework of interpretation.
