Mireia Sallarès Casas

Mireia Sallarès Casas (Barcelona, 1973), a graduate in Fine Arts from Universidad de Barcelona, is a visual artist and independent producer.

‘Kao malo vode na dlanu (like a little water in the hand), a project on the concept of Love and Serbia’ includes the publication of a book, a series of photographs and an audio and video series. The research questions the link between love and artistic practices through Serbia, a place whose complex history, in an uncertain and conflict-ridden territory, enshrines the essence of Europe as a whole.

The project is the second chapter of a trilogy that the author began in 2011, entitled ‘Trilogía de los conceptos basura’ (Trilogy of junk concepts) on truth, love and work.
