Miguel Ángel Moreno Hidalgo (Madrid, 1977) has a PhD in Agricultural Engineering and is a professor employed at the Department of Plant Production and Agricultural Technology at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, with a broad experience in international research into the efficient use of water and energy in irrigation.
PROJECT
Although the use of drones has extended significantly in agriculture, there are still some technical and data treatment shortcomings that limit its full use. The project will improve the calibration of the cameras, and with it the quality of information obtained. It will also develop models that can determine the need for fertilizers, phytosanitary treatment and water in real time according to the different crops and zones of a specific area.
