PROJECT
‘System of indicators of clinical response based on EEG signals to assess cognitive psycho-stimulation therapies for Alzheimer’s disease’ is the title of the project for which he has received this grant. Its aim is to develop an e-health system based on the analysis of electroencephalogram (EEG) signals related to neurological deterioration in old age, to support decision-making during rehabilitation and therapy.
This innovative system will provide doctors with an interactive tool to evaluate brain activity during mental tasks carried out by the elderly with cognitive deterioration, in particular with Alzheimer’s disease.
It will analyze the efficacy of non-pharmacological therapies such as cognitive stimulation based on objective indices extracted from the EEG, this will allow doctors to evaluate neurological deterioration in the elderly.
