Maximiliano Fuentes Codera (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1976) is professor of Contemporary History in Universidad de Gerona. Since 2015 he has been director of its Walter Benjamin Chair, Memory and Exile.
He has been a researcher in prestigious centers in Paris, Buenos Aires, Berlin and Bologna. His work focuses on Spanish political and cultural policy and its relation with Europe and the Americas.
PROJECT
The project will analyze the role of the idea of peace as a space of dispute in the construction of each country’s cultural and political fields and how the national and supranational constructions were shaped during the war and after it (Hisapicism, Latinism, Latin Americanism, Iberism).
