BIO
Matías Candeira de Andrés (Madrid, 1984) is a graduate in Audiovisual Communication, with a diploma in Film and TV Scriptwriting and a Master’s Degree in Literary Creation.
She is the author of three collections of short stories: ‘La soledad de los ventrílocuos’ (2009), ‘Antes de las jirafas’ (2011) and ‘Todo irá bien’ (2013). She has also written the novel ‘Fiebre’ (2015). Her career shows an attraction to literature that deals with what is strange and a style combining the sinister, a profusion of poetic images and pregnant and dense atmospheres.
PROJECT
Thanks to the grant she will write ‘Corona de fuego,’ the life of a woman narrated through the history of her hair, which will serve as a metaphor illustrating the construction of an identity, social and family relations and empowerment.
