María Pilar Martín Fernández (Madrid, 1973) is assistant professor at Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares and author of a long list of publications that have also made her an expert reviewer for the Agencia Nacional de Evaluación y Prospectiva, for international calls for applications and numerous scientific publications.
Acute myocarditis sometimes simulates a myocardial infarction. As a result, patients may be submitted to coronary angiography to rule out an ischemia, with the consequent risk for the patients and delay in applying immunosuppressant treatment that is really effective in these cases.
PROJECT
The project aims to confirm that microRNAs are a specific, direct and reliable diagnostic procedure that will make clinical practice more effective.
