Mabi Revuelta Sierra

Mabi Revuelta Sierra (Bilbao, 1967) is a graduate in Fine Arts from Universidad del País Vasco, and a specialist in teaching and research into new educational methods related to art.

Her project ‘Arcomática’ (Achromatic) will consist series of works based on chess studies created by Marcel Duchamp.

A storyboard, made up of a collage of images, will be interpreted by a series of sculptures/costumes defined by the special nature of each piece (king, queen, bishop, rook, knight and pawn). These materials will form the basis for a black-and-white movie (’Acromática’) with a musical soundtrack, in which up to 12 performers will interpret the chess game as part of the plot.
