BIO
Luis Enrique García Muñoz (Madrid, 1975) is a graduate in Telecommunications Engineering and has PhD from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Currently he is professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
He has written 54 articles in international publications, participated at102 international congresses and has been lead researcher on 13 projects.
PROJECT
Among the objectives of his project is the development of a photon counting receptor in the sub-Terahertz range, working at environmental temperature (it will be the first receptor in the world of these characteristics) and the detection of gravitational waves using this receptor.
If this attempt is successful, it will lay the foundations for research in areas of communications, security, and astrophysics. In addition, the detection of gravitational waves will validate the last frontier of the General Theory of Relativity.
