PROJECT
The project works with a prototype wearable system for the detection of fatigue and mental overload in healthcare workers. The device, called ‘Neurosafety’ registers real-time encephalographic signals and ocular movements, which are considered the most reliable measures for the performance of high-risk tasks, such as driving or piloting aircraft. The system allows an assessment of the psycho-physiological state and alertness of healthcare personnel with the aim of minimizing the possibility of adverse events resulting from excess work or accumulation of shifts.
