BIO
José Luis Obregón Fernández (Bilbao, 1979) is a cellist, professor of Orchestral Repertoire with Cello at Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and artistic director of the ancient music group La Ritirata.
He has performed in Carnegie Hall, New York, the Tokyo Opera City, the National Theater of Beijing, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and the Royal Festival Hall in London.
PROJECT
His project consists of recording a CD together with his group La Ritirata for the Glossa label, of vocal music from the Spanish Kingdom of Naples that the cellist has been investigating in recent years.
The recording will use historical period instruments, with their characteristic strings and bows, combined with the most modern technological resources.
