Jaime Laviada Martínez (Gijón, 1982) has a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad de Oviedo, where he also took his doctorate. Currently, he is assistant lecturer in the same university.
He is author of 31 publications in international magazines, has registered a patent and has made more than thirty contributions to congresses.
PROJECT
His project aims to construct a portable electromagnetic device that can be an alternative to the cabin scanners used in airports, allowing the scanning of specific zones by using a RGB-D camera as a positioning technique to obtain both the color of each pixel and its depth.
