Francisco José Cuadrado Méndez (Seville, 1975) is an associate professor at Universidad Loyola Andalucía. He has worked as a sound designer, composer and musical producer on more than 70 Spanish and international works, and his doctoral thesis on sound design in the cinema received the Research Prize from the Telefónica Foundation.
Sound design has applications in fields such as therapeutic rehabilitation, stress reduction, product design and improving learning.
PROJECT
The project ‘Unconscious Listening’ will focus its objective in this area and study the impact of the sound of audiovisual productions and video games on the emotions and attention span of children of school age.
Cuadrado will also deal with the ethical dimension of this question, which has barely been considered until now. The results of the project will have a valuable application for education.
