David Rodríguez Larrea (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1980) is a Ramón y Cajal researcher at Universidad del País Vasco. Despite his youth, he has published some very high-impact works. He is a reviewer for a number of journals and directs students. He is a pioneer in the use of single-molecule nanopore technology for the study of proteins.
PROJECT
His project is designed to generate bifunctional chemical probes capable of introducing specific functionalities in predefined locations in a protein. These probes will be used to discover medicines that can be aimed at targets involved in cancer.
