Carlos Pardo García (Madrid, 1975) has published two novels, ‘Vida de Pablo’ and ‘El viaje a pie de Johann Sebastian,’ which have been very positively reviewed.
In addition, he has also written a number of books of poetry such as ‘El invernadero,’ ‘Desvelo sin paisaje’ and ‘Echado a perder,’ which have received awards such as the Emlio Prados Prize and the International Generation of 27 Prize. He has also edited an anonymous poetry magazine for the publisher Pre-Textos and from 2005 to 211 directed the International Cosmopoetics Poetry Festival. He is a reviewer of fiction for ‘Babelia,’ the cultural supplement of ‘El País.’
PROJECT
The project consists of writing the novel ‘Lejos de Kakania’ (Far from Kakania), which deals with three main questions: the falsification of national histories, the study of friendship and its time limits; and the failure of a superstitious conception of language, i.e. poetry.
