Ashwin Woodhoo

Ashwin Woodhoo (United Kingdom, 1978) is a scientific researcher at Unidad de Metabolómica of CIC bioGUNE, which he joined in 2009 after beginning his career at University College London (UCL) in the UK. He has published articles in highly prestigious journals in the area of neuroscience.

His project deals with the regulation of neural myelination.  The study is relevant for understanding the pathogenesis of a variety of debilitating neurological disorders, and opens up new paths for clinical strategies in the area of therapy. The author plans to construct genome maps to identify the main regulation programs that are activated during the reprogramming of Schwann cells.
