PROJECT
The aim of the project is to characterize a possible therapeutic target against Alzheimer’s that has still not been explored.
Drugs currently in use on the market for this neurodegenerative disease, which is considered an epidemic of the 21st century and a major social health problem, do not delay its development.
Hierro will describe a molecular mechanism that is found at the origin of the formation of the amyloid peptide, a characteristic of Alzhemeir’s, to check whether its neutralization could be used to treat the disease.
